HUN’s 80s intro quiz!
Hi pop fans. As you may know if you’re a regular visitor to The Blog Up North, I never knowingly let a bandwagon pass by without trying to leap onto it. On this occasion, said bandwagon ties in nicely with my love of music from the decade taste and decency forgot: The 80s!
Just a few short weeks ago, top blogger and all-round good egg, Paula at Battling On, vexed us all with a couple of dastardly album cover quizzes (here and here). I responded in a sarcastic and wound-licking way with a poptastic odd one out quiz, but I now realise this doesn’t do the pop quiz genre justice.
And so, for a bit of Friday fun I give you my 80s intro quiz! That exclamation mark has to be on the end by law, by the way.

It’s not difficult. All the songs were big hits in the 80s. If everyone gets top marks I may consider turning the difficulty screw next time. The prize? There is no prize really, it’s just for fun, but the bestest pop masters get regaled nay feted on these very pages. So good luck!

I pride myself on my music trivia but only instantly recognised about half a dozen. I think some of those might be a bit English for me

I am now in a completely bad mood because I can oly get numbers 1, 2, 3, 11 and 14. The others I know but cannot for the life of me remember them. Aarrgghh! That was my decade.

Ok I got 1 and 2, 6, kind of know 7, couldn’t guess anymore so started comparing the sound waves to fluffy dildos.

ooohhh, I recognized the majority of them but couldn’t name them all either. Nor could my useless husband and he is usually great at this kind of thing!! Jen
Despite having dozens of eighties albums in my collection, I recognised only 2 of these. Would like to see if I know some of the songs but just don’t recognise the opening chords.

What a great quiz – really enjoyed doing this even though I only got 7 right. Some of the ones I missed out I’m now kicking myself over but there were a couple that I don’t remember at all (either that or I’ve blanked them from memory to avoid embarrassment haha)
