The Arrow

January 3, 2012

Let’s get something straight from the start: I don’t like being different. I like to be part of a crowd. I think it is better to blend in than to stand out.

But all my life I have been blighted by The Arrow. It hangs over my head like the Sword of Damocles. People see it and stare at it and, of course, stare at me. People always follow an arrow.

I try to hide by wearing the same T-shirts and silly hats as my friends, hoping that reducing my individuality will make it fade.

But still The Arrow points.

Haha, very clever. Would you describe yourself as the literal sort do you think? Seriously though, I can see how having a great white arrow over your head might cramp your style.
