The Flip Side
Peter and Damian looked up at the sign. Its purple neon glow made the dancing drizzle glitter in the night air. This was real. They were ready to open for business.
“I’m still not sure about that,” Damian said, motioning towards the sign.
“Dude, we had this chat already. It’s what a pancake takeaway should be called,” Peter replied.
“Okay, okay…”
“You think we should have gone with your suggestion? The Flip Side? Man, that is so lame…”
“Whatever,” Damian sighed. “You’re the guy with the degree in marketing.”
“Damn right.”
And yet Damian knew they’d regret the name Tossers.

This week’s prompt is …the flip side. As it’s Shrove Tuesday I took the theme literally. Non-Brits may not get the last line. My advice would be ask a Brit.

Oh you naughty boy!! I love it and I suppose I’m not surprised. Love the description, especially the colour scheme! Great fun!
I’m almost laughing too hard to type! I love this one! I think he might be right…they might just regret that name!
LOL – I regret the name already.
My grandparents’ house was called Tossa. Was baffled when, in adulthood, friends found this hilarious. This is brilliant. I shall delete my own attempt forthwith!
Brilliant. I think a pancake takeaway called Tossers would appeal to most people’s sense of humour.
One of those actual OL moments for my L!
I got it even though I’m not a Brit! LOL!
Great effort, love it!

A wonderful tale.
The last line was priceless and made me smile.
Just shows what a degree in marketing does for you.
British humor, some of us Americans get it. Very funny.
Oh, very good!!!
Very very funny, excellent *exits sniggering*
I’m sure they’d get lots of customers who would stop to take a photo of the place. I would, and photoshop in a few people I know
Great. Love it. Well-written and funny to boot.
